Recent news has been ablaze with Samsung’s much awaited foldable smartphone, which will be thinner and larger than previous models. Thanks to a leaked picture, we have now first seen the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition.
At first look, the design clearly reflects that of the Galaxy Z Fold6 as anticipated. Still, the new model’s smaller shape is clearly differentiating it.
The Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition has a level frame with gently rounded edges. One major modification is the camera module, which differs from the Fold6’s design and facilitates distance-based distinguishing between the two versions. Although the Special Edition is thinner generally, the camera hump is far more noticeable; this might just be a visual effect.
Though the phone’s rear seems to be brushed metal, it most likely consists of glass and is designed to produce a metallic touch. Usually for Samsung smartphones, the power button functions as a fingerprint sensor on the right side, with the volume rocker situated directly above it.
Regarding dimensions, the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition will be folded 10.6mm thick and unfurled merely 4.9mm thick. It is said to have an 8-inch inner foldable screen and an amazing 200 MP primary camera a 6.5-inch outside display. Sadly, reports have it that only China and South Korea will have access to this model.
