Following the introduction of the Moto S50 Neo in June, Motorola formally unveiled its newest smartphone, the Moto S50. Powered with the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 processor, the brand debuted the Motorola Moto S50 as of September 5. Android 14 comes pre-installed with this gadget, which has amazing memory options like 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage.
The 2,670×1,272 pixel resolution of the 6.36-inch LTPO pOLED display of the Moto S50 has a 120Hz refresh rate. It also supports HDR10+ and achieves a shockingly high 3,000 nits of brightness. With biometric security handled by an under-display fingerprint reader, the 32MP camera in a centered punch-hole powers selfies.
The Moto S50 has a triple-camera setup on the back. This comprises a 13MP ultra-wide camera with a 123° field of view and a 10MP telephoto lens providing 3x optical zoom and OIS for stability. The Sony IMX896 sensor with OIS is the 50MP main camera.
A 4,310 mAh battery running 68W wired fast charging and 15W wireless charging powers the phone. With an IP68 certification as well, it is both dust and water resistant. With the main distinction being that the Edge 50 Neo is meant for worldwide markets while the S50 is reserved for the Chinese market, the Moto S50 is very similar to the previously unveiled Motorola Edge 50.
Available in two configurations—12GB/256GB and 12GB/512GB—the Motorola Moto S50 has three Pantone-validated color choices. These variants cost CNY 2,199, nearly $310/€280/INR 26,000; CNY 2,499, around $350/€320/INR 29,550. Lenovo’s official Chinese website allows one to buy the phone.
